Disha Shool: Everyone travels. Some travel every day to go to work, others to the hospital, some for religious purposes, and others for business. Sometimes a journey becomes memorable, while at other times it can be troublesome. Sometimes you meet good people during your travels, and sometimes arguments and fights even break out. On some journeys, people receive news of getting a job or completing a task, while at other times they face failure. Whether your journey will be auspicious or inauspicious, one of the reasons could be the Disha Shool yoga. Disha Shool indicates which direction you should not travel in on a particular day and which direction is beneficial for travel. Let's learn what Disha Shool yoga is…

What is Disha Shool?
According to the scriptures, Disha Shool is considered a very inauspicious yoga. One should avoid traveling in the direction where Disha Shool is present. Traveling in such a direction should be avoided; otherwise, you may face many kinds of problems. Before leaving home for any important work or a long journey, you should always check which direction Disha Shool is on that day.
If you know in advance which direction is auspicious for you or which direction will cause harm, you can plan your travel day accordingly and travel without any trouble. Disha Shool means the direction in which traveling on a particular day can increase obstacles, accidents, fatigue, losses, or mental stress. Disha means direction, and Shool means thorn or obstacle. Therefore, it indicates obstacles when traveling in that direction.
Which direction does Shool on which day of the week?
Every day of the week, Disha Shool is present in a specific direction, and one should avoid traveling in that direction.
Monday and Saturday
Traveling in the east direction is considered inauspicious on Mondays and Saturdays. One should avoid traveling towards the east on these two days. If it is absolutely necessary, then remedies can be performed. If you must travel on these two days, eat 1 teaspoon of yogurt and sugar before leaving home.
Tuesday and Wednesday
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the direction of the day's inauspicious influence (Disha Shool) is towards the north, so you should avoid traveling in the north direction on these two days. On Tuesdays, the northwest direction is also considered affected, so if travel is necessary, always eat jaggery before leaving home. On Wednesdays, to mitigate the inauspicious influence, eat sesame seeds and coriander before starting your journey. Also, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, you should avoid traveling in the northeast direction.
Thursday
On Thursdays, the direction of the day's inauspicious influence is towards the south. Therefore, you should avoid traveling in the south direction on Thursdays. If travel is necessary, it is considered auspicious to eat yogurt before leaving home on Thursdays. This remedy is believed to ward off all inauspicious influences.
Friday and Sunday
On Fridays and Sundays, the direction of the day's inauspicious influence is towards the west. If travel in the west direction cannot be avoided on these two days, it is considered auspicious to eat barley on Friday and porridge on Sunday before leaving home.
Important Information
You should begin your journey by stepping forward with the foot corresponding to the nostril that is currently dominant (the one through which you are breathing). Always take five steps backward before taking a step forward. Taking the left side is considered auspicious for mitigating the inauspicious influence of the direction. Going straight ahead or to the right is considered inauspicious.
