The festival of Radha Ashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year on the *Ashtami* (eighth day) of the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of Bhadrapada. This day is considered highly auspicious for seeking the grace of Radha Rani. According to the *Panchang* (Hindu calendar), the festival will be celebrated on September 19th this year.

According to religious beliefs, worshipping Radha Rani on this occasion alleviates all of life's sorrows and suffering, and one receives the special blessings of *Kishori Ji*. A vibrant and festive atmosphere prevails in the temples of Braj on this auspicious day. **Shri Radha Rani Temple (Barsana)**
Dedicated to Shri Radha Rani, this temple is situated on the Bhanugarh Hill in Barsana. According to religious belief, this is considered the site where Shri Radha Rani appeared (*Prakatya Sthal*). On Radha Ashtami, a large number of devotees travel from far and wide to catch a glimpse of *Ladli Ji*. For this occasion, the entire temple is magnificently decorated with flowers, and the *Chhappan Bhog* (an offering of fifty-six food items) is presented to Radha Rani.

**Shri Radha Vallabh Temple (Vrindavan)**
The Shri Radha Vallabh Temple in Vrindavan holds special significance. It is the main center of the *Radha Vallabh Sampradaya* (sect). A unique feature of this temple is that there is no idol of Radha Rani here; instead, a golden crown rests on the seat (*gaddi*) alongside *Kanha Ji* (Lord Krishna), symbolizing Radha Rani's presence. It is believed that devotees can only obtain *darshan* of the deity if it is the will of Shri Radha-Vallabh Ji.

**Shri Radha Raman Temple (Vrindavan)**
Dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna, the Shri Radha Raman Temple is one of the ancient temples of Vrindavan. According to religious belief, Lord Krishna resides here alongside Radha Rani in a *Swayambhu* (self-manifested) form that emerged from a *Shaligram Shila* (sacred stone). The temple also houses the *Samadhi* (final resting place) of Shri Gopal Bhatta Goswami, located right next to the idol of Radha Raman Ji.

Radha Damodar Temple (Vrindavan)
This temple is dedicated to the divine love of Radha and Krishna. A large number of devotees visit here to behold the divine forms of Sri Radha and Damodar. In this temple, Lord Krishna and Radharani are worshipped in the Damodar form. It is worth noting that this is one of the seven principal ancient Goswami temples of Vrindavan.
