Ekadashi Dates in June 2026: In Hinduism, the Ekadashi fast is considered extremely sacred and spiritually rewarding; however, *Parama Ekadashi* and *Nirjala Ekadashi*—both of which fall in the month of June—hold a distinct and exceptional significance. It is believed that observing these two fasts with proper rituals invokes the divine grace of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Furthermore, it grants an individual liberation from sins committed knowingly or unknowingly and paves the way for happiness and prosperity in life. In the year 2026, *Parama Ekadashi* will be observed on June 11th, while *Nirjala Ekadashi* will fall on June 25th. Let us explore the significance, dates, and auspicious timings associated with these two fasts.

**What is Parama Ekadashi?**
*Parama Ekadashi*, which occurs during the *Krishna Paksha* (waning phase of the moon) of *Adhikmas* (the intercalary month), holds special religious significance.
This year, this Ekadashi Tithi (lunar day) will commence on June 11th at 12:57 AM and conclude on the same day at 10:36 PM.
The auspicious time for worship (*Puja*) will be from 10:36 AM to 2:05 PM.
The breaking of the fast (*Parana*) will take place on June 12th between 5:23 AM and 8:10 AM, while the *Dwadashi* Tithi (the twelfth lunar day) will remain in effect until 7:36 PM.
**Significance**
According to religious beliefs, *Parama Ekadashi* occurs once every three years during *Adhikmas*; consequently, its significance is greatly enhanced. It is said that any devotee who observes a fast and keeps a night-long vigil (*Ratri Jagran*) on this day attains a place in Heaven. Engaging in acts of charity and benevolence on this day ensures that one never faces a shortage of wealth or food in life and yields highly auspicious results.
**When is Nirjala Ekadashi?**
*Nirjala Ekadashi*—which falls during the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing phase of the moon) of the month of *Jyeshtha*—is considered the most rigorous and supreme of all Ekadashis.
This year, the Ekadashi Tithi will begin on June 24th at 6:12 PM and continue until 8:09 PM on June 25th.
The auspicious time for worship will be from 10:39 AM to 2:05 PM. The fast will be broken on June 26 between 5:25 am and 8:13 am, while Dwadashi Tithi will remain till 10:22 pm.
Importance
Nirjala Ekadashi fast is observed without consuming water; hence, it is counted among the strictest fasts. It is believed that fasting on this Ekadashi gives the same virtue as performing a thousand Ashwamedha Yagyas and a hundred Surya Yagyas. Not only this, but the results of all the Ekadashis of the entire year are also obtained by this one fast. According to Padma Purana, if gold, sesame, land, cow, food, water, shoes, and umbrella are donated with devotion on this day, then the person does not have to face the troubles of Yamalok.
