Emraan Hashmi's highly anticipated film, *Awarapan 2*, is finally all set to hit the big screen. The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), commonly known as the Censor Board.

Fans are eager to see Emraan Hashmi reprise the role of Shivam in this sequel, arriving 19 years after the original. Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi also feature in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release next week, and prior to this, it was submitted to the Censor Board for review.

**Film Cleared by the Censor Board**
The Censor Board has now given the green signal and issued the certificate to the filmmakers. This romantic action-thriller is suitable for audiences aged 16 and above; it has been granted a 'UA 16+' certificate. According to the certificate issued on August 5, *Awarapan 2* has a runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes. For comparison, the original film had a runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes.

**What Changes Were Made to *Awarapan 2*?**
Alongside the 16+ certification, nine scenes in the film underwent editing. Per the CBFC's list of required changes, the filmmakers were asked to include disclaimers regarding drug use and child trafficking. The Board also directed the makers to alter the use of expletives in both the audio and subtitles.

Violent sequences were also modified; the intensity of violence in one specific scene was reduced by approximately 50 percent. Additionally, a scene depicting drug consumption and the end credits were edited.

**When Will *Awarapan 2* Be Released?**
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, *Awarapan 2* is set to hit theaters on August 14. There is considerable buzz surrounding the film, as the sequel arrives after a gap of 19 years. While the original *Awarapan* was not a major commercial success, it remains to be seen whether the sequel will succeed at the box office.
