For a pleasant winter morning, bread pakora is a breakfast dish that makes your mouth water just at the mention of its name. Hot, crispy, and spicy bread pakoras, enjoyed with sips of tea, not only fill your stomach but also make the start of your day delightful.

The biggest highlight of bread pakora is its texture: a crispy outer layer of gram flour batter and soft bread inside with a spicy potato filling. It's easy to make, and the ingredients are readily available in our kitchens.
Often, we feel that the taste we get at street food stalls or sweet shops cannot be replicated at home. But with a few special tips, you can make them perfectly at home. Let's learn the recipe for making bread pakoras just like those from a sweet shop.
Ingredients for Bread Pakora
Bread slices - White or brown bread (use fresh bread)
Gram flour batter - Gram flour, a little semolina (for crispiness), carom seeds, turmeric powder, salt, and water
Potato stuffing - Boiled potatoes, finely chopped green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, garam masala, dry mango powder, and red chili powder
Oil - for frying
Method
First, mash the boiled potatoes. Now, heat a little oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Then add the ginger-chili paste and all the dry spices, and mix with the mashed potatoes. Add coriander leaves and mix well. The bread pakora filling is ready.
Now take gram flour in a bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder, and carom seeds. Add water little by little to make a thick batter. Make sure the batter is neither too thin nor too thick. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
After that, take two bread slices. Spread green chutney or ketchup on one side, then spread the prepared potato filling. Cover it with the other bread slice and cut it into a triangle shape. Now, dip these pieces in the gram flour batter and fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
Remove them and place them on tissue paper to drain the excess oil. Serve the bread pakoras with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney.

Special tips for achieving a taste like a professional cook:
Adding a spoonful of semolina or rice flour to the gram flour batter will keep the pakoras crispy for longer.
Gram flour can cause gas problems, so don't forget to add carom seeds (ajwain). This also enhances the flavor.
Applying a spicy mint chutney on the bread before adding the spice mixture makes the taste even more delicious.
