Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol played important roles in the film 'Animal' released in the year 2023. Especially Bobby Deol played the role of a dangerous villain, who could neither speak nor hear. Now the director of the film Sandeep Reddy Vanga has revealed the real reason behind this creative decision.

Why was Bobby's character kept deaf and dumb?
Sandeep Reddy Vanga told Komal Nahta in an interview that he wanted to make the villain's character different from the worn-out cliché. In many films, powerful villains have been shown speaking heavy dialogues, but in 'Animal' he decided to do something new.
"In many films, we have seen villains with tremendous dialogues. So I thought how to make it different? A character who cannot speak or hear, but creates fear with his expressions and physical actions. This was very exciting for me," - Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Villain's entry and emotional angle
Bobby Deol's entry in the film is quite late. The first half shows the intense side of Ranbir Kapoor's character and his complex relationship with his father (Anil Kapoor). Since the film already had a touch of emotional and family drama, instead of giving more dialogue to the villain, his dangerous presence was used to scare the audience.
A new phase in Bobby Deol's career
After 'Animal', Bobby Deol's career got a new flight, especially in the South film industry. He has played negative characters in Surya's 'Kanguva' and Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Daku Maharaj'. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Vijay's upcoming film 'Jannayagan'.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next film
Currently, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is working on his new film 'Spirit' with Prabhas. Apart from this project, Prabhas also has big films like 'The Raja Saab', 'Fauji', 'Salaar 2' and 'Kalki 2'.
