'Baahubali' actor Prabhas has been the talk of the town regarding his upcoming film 'Fauji'. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, this period drama was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on December 3 of this year, but the makers have now provided an update. Producer Ravi Shankar has personally confirmed that the release of 'Fauji' has been postponed.

Why was the release date of 'Fauji' postponed?
Reports suggest that the film has been pushed to 2027 because post-production work is still pending. While the makers have confirmed the delay, a new release date has not yet been announced.

What the 'Fauji' producer said
Ravi Shankar, a producer at Mythri Movie Makers, announced the delay on September 21 during the pre-release event for Nani's upcoming film, 'The Paradise'. He stated that the film's release is being postponed slightly, but the extra time will be utilized to craft a film of grand scale.

Ravi Shankar said, "'Fauji' is being pushed back a little, but it is a 'next-level' film. You haven't seen Prabhas in such a magnificent look since 'Baahubali'. It is a film of that same caliber. I apologize for the delay, but you will remember this film for a lifetime. It is a massive and spectacular movie."

Films it was set to clash with
'Fauji' was originally scheduled for release on December 3.
The film was expected to clash with Naga Chaitanya's 'Vrishkarma' and Dulquer Salmaan's 'Sri Sri'.
Both those films are scheduled for release on December 4, 2026.

Alongside Prabhas, actors Imanvi Esmail, Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty, and Anupam Kher will appear in key roles.
