Fluctuations in gold and silver prices continue. Market forecasts regarding gold and silver currently vary; while some predict a significant surge, other reports discuss differing price points. **What are the prices in the international market?**
Prices for both gold and silver saw an upward trend in the international market (Comex) today. According to Comex data, at the time of writing, gold had risen by 0.06%, reaching $4,164.80 per ounce. Meanwhile, silver prices climbed by 1.46%, trading at $61.300 per ounce.
**A look at domestic market prices**
In the bullion (domestic) market, gold prices have witnessed a sharp decline, whereas silver prices have surged significantly. Upon market opening, gold prices dropped to trade around ₹1.49 lakh per 10 grams. Conversely, silver prices rose to trade around ₹2.26 lakh per kilogram.
**Where is gold trading on the MCX?**
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), at the time of writing, gold for October delivery fell by ₹1,043, trading at ₹1,49,347 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver rose by ₹697, reaching a price of ₹2,26,393 per kilogram. Check prices before buying jewelry.
As the market opened today, gold prices saw a decline, while silver prices surged. Consequently, 24-carat gold is trading at around ₹149,540 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold is hovering near ₹137,078 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is trending close to ₹112,155 per 10 grams. Silver prices in India were seen trading at approximately ₹226,770 per kilogram.
