In Hinduism, housewarming is considered an essential ritual, performed after purchasing a new home, marking the beginning of living in the new home. Vastu Shastra outlines some important rules regarding house warming, which are crucial to keep in mind. These days are auspicious.
According to Vastu Shastra, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are considered auspicious for house warming. Regarding the month, the months of Magha, Phalguna, Vaishakh, and Jyeshtha are considered the best for house warming. Furthermore, the second, third, fifth, seventh, tenth, eleventh, and thirteenth days of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) are also considered auspicious for house warming.

Avoid housewarming on these days.
Vastu Shastra recommends that you never hold a housewarming ceremony on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, according to the Hindu calendar, Rikta Tithis (dates) like Chaturthi, Navami, and Chaturdashi, as well as Amavasya and Purnima Tithis (dates), are not considered auspicious for house warming. Furthermore, the months of Ashadha, Sawan, Bhadrapada, Ashwin, and Paush are not considered auspicious for house warming. It should also be especially noted that house warming rituals should not be performed during Rahukaal.

Keep these things in mind:
During the housewarming ritual, you can decorate the main entrance with a garland of Ashoka leaves. Also, decorate the house, light lamps, and burn camphor and incense in all rooms. This increases the flow of positive energy. A Vastu Puja should also be performed in the new home to avoid any Vastu defects. According to the rules of Vastu Shastra, when entering a new home, you should first place your right foot forward. Doing so is considered auspicious.
