The mood of the weather has changed in North India. The mercury has started rising slowly in most states of the country. In many states, the temperature has reached 30 degrees. The temperature has increased rapidly due to sunshine throughout the day.
Tuesday was the hottest day of this season in Delhi. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted almost double the number of summer days in northwest India.

This year the heat will be more than normal in West and Central India.
IMD scientist Soma Sen Roy said, "Usually there is a period of heatwave for 5-6 days in the summer season, but this year there is a possibility of slightly more heat than normal in West and Central India during the summer season. This year we expect 10 to 12 days, which is double the normal." He further said that this is a seasonal forecast and it does not mean that all the days of the season will be more than normal.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted almost double the number of heat days in northwest India, so be prepared for more heat than usual.
Heatwave will trouble you.
The Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW) claims that the number of heat wave days across the country, including Delhi NCR, may increase by 15 to 20 percent during this summer.
Based on the inputs received from the Meteorological Department, CEEW also released an analysis saying that there is a lot of uncertainty in rainfall, such as monsoon is also getting delayed. That is why the effect of heat waves is increasing, the affected heat islands are also increasing. Even the overall heat wave season is increasing.
