Homemade Bleach: Who doesn't want an instant glow? The effects of sun, dust, hectic schedules, and stress are the first to show on the skin. The complexion begins to fade, the texture becomes rough, and the face looks tired. In these situations, people rush to parlor bleaches or strong creams for quick results. While the first application may provide a glow, repeated chemical exposure can leave the skin sensitive, dry, and sometimes even patchy. The good news is that it's not necessary to rely on heavy-duty products every time. A few common kitchen ingredients can provide a light, reliable, and pocket-friendly solution that leaves skin clean, soft, and fresh.

The combo of gram flour, turmeric, honey, lemon, and yogurt is an age-old, yet effective remedy. Prepared and applied correctly, this mixture gives the skin a natural glow, removes dead skin, and makes the face appear healthier—all without any harsh reactions.
1) What You'll Need
-Gram flour - 2 teaspoons
-Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
-Honey - 1 teaspoon
-Lemon juice - 2-3 drops
-Yogurt or rose water - 2 teaspoons (depending on the paste)
2) How to Prepare Natural Bleach
Take a clean bowl and add 2 teaspoons of gram flour. Now add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric – be careful not to overdo it, as it may leave a yellow tint. Next, add 1 teaspoon of honey, which helps keep the skin soft. Add 2-3 drops of lemon juice; this helps lighten the tone. Finally, add yogurt or rose water and form a thick, smooth paste. The paste should be neither too thin nor too thick – it should spread easily on the face.
3) Correct Method of Application
Cleanse your face with a mild face wash and pat dry with a towel. Apply a thin layer of the paste to the entire face and neck using your fingers or a brush, avoiding the area around the eyes and lips. Leave it on for 15–20 minutes. When the paste begins to dry, lightly wet your hands and rub it off using circular motions. This also acts as a gentle scrubbing. Afterward, rinse with plain water and apply your regular moisturizer.
4) Benefits
Gram flour helps remove dead skin, leaving the face looking clearer. Turmeric helps soothe the skin and reduce small pimples. Honey maintains moisture, thus reducing dryness. Yogurt leaves the skin feeling smooth and adds a slight glow. Lemon juice helps reduce oiliness and refresh the tone. This combined mixture leaves the skin clean, soft, and with a natural glow, without any harshness.

5) Things to Keep in Mind
Before applying for the first time, do a patch test on the inside of your hand. If irritation, itching, or excessive redness occurs, discontinue use. Once a week is sufficient; daily use is not necessary. If you have very sensitive skin, reduce or omit the lemon drops. Avoid applying near the eyes. Leaving it on for too long can cause dryness, so be mindful of the time.
