Is Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani 4' coming soon? Director Abhiraj Minawala gives an update on the fourth installment..

"Mardaani 3" director Abhiraj Minawala spoke about his journey with "Mardaani 3" and the fourth installment in the franchise. Speaking to ANI, he said the team is ready to continue the journey of Shivani Shivaji Roy. However, hinting at a fourth installment, he emphasized that the next chapter will only move forward when a story worthy of the franchise is ready.

"Mardaani 4" should be made, but...
Speaking to ANI, he said, "I think 'Mardaani 4" should be made. More films should be made. "Mardaani" and "Mardaani 2" gave us the courage to make "Mardaani 3." But yes, if you look at "Mardaani 2," it came out in 2019, and the third installment is now in 2026. The important thing is that I believe 'Mardaani 4' should only be made if we have the right script and the right story.

Abhiraj Minawala has a long association with Yash Raj Films.

In 'Mardaani 3,' Rani Mukerji returns as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. This time, she embarks on a mission to find missing children and expose the gang behind it. 'Mardaani' explored the horrific world of human trafficking. 'Mardaani 2' told the horrific story of a ruthless serial criminal. The third installment addresses another important social issue. The film is produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF). Minawala said that his journey began years ago as an assistant director with Yash Raj Films, and since then, he has steadily progressed through various projects.

"Mardaani 3" script appeals
Meenawala said, "I've been associated with YRF for many years. My journey actually began with 'Rocket Singh.' I worked as an assistant director for a long time, constantly moving from one film to another." He said he was involved in designing action sequences and participating in creative discussions on various projects. During this time, producer Aditya Chopra encouraged him to read the script for 'Mardaani 3.' After reading the script, he loved it. He said, "I knew I had to make it 100 percent. The story connected with me on a different level. It touched me not only as a director, but also as a father."
