If you wish to worship at night, you can perform the *Pahar* (four-watch) worship on the night of Sawan Shivratri. Religious belief holds that Lord Shiva is fond of *Abhishek*. The *Shiva Purana* and *Agama* traditions emphasize the special significance of offering water to the *Shivling*. However, arrangements for *Jalabhishek* in temples may vary based on local customs and the timings of *Aarti* and *Shayan Puja* (nighttime ritual).
