Tradition of taking a bath and worshipping

There is a tradition of 'taking a bath and eating' on Saptami Tithi, a day before Jitiya Vrat. This year, Nahaye-Khaye will be observed on Saturday, September 13. On this day, women take a bath in rivers or holy water, and then Lord Jimutvahana is worshipped.

Day of fasting

This time, Ashtami Tithi will start on September 14 at 05:04 am and will end on September 15 at 03:06 am. Udayatithi has been given special importance in the scriptures. For this reason, mothers will get ready by eating and drinking something before sunrise on September 14 and then will observe a Nirjala fast from sunrise to sunrise the next day.

Vrat Paran

This fast will be completed on September 15. Ashtami Tithi will end at 03:06 am on that day. After this, women can take a bath and offer water to Tulsi and observe fast according to the rules.

This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many states of eastern India like Bihar, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh. On this day, mothers observe this fast while praying to Lord Jimutvahana for the safety and longevity of their children.
