It is believed that bathing at the confluence of rivers in Prayagraj during the month of Magh grants one wealth, righteousness, fulfillment of desires, and salvation. The importance of bathing here can be gauged from the fact that a person who bathes here is freed from the fear of untimely death.

What to do in the month of Magh?
Bathe in the Ganges, Triveni Sangam, or any other holy river during this month. If this is not possible, bathe at home by mixing Ganges water and sesame seeds in a vessel. After that, offer water to Lord Surya. Consume and donate sesame seeds during this month. Also, offer sesame seeds to God. Go on a pilgrimage during this month.
