Whenever the Mahakal Temple witnesses a surge of devotees, the temple committee makes several important changes. This time, online booking for Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakal Temple will be temporarily suspended from December 25th to January 5th. Due to the large crowds, the offline permission process has also been suspended during this period. However, devotees from India and abroad will be able to take advantage of the mobile Bhasma Aarti darshan of Lord Mahakal during these days.

Everyone wants to start the New Year with a darshan of the deity. Therefore, millions of devotees will be seen at Baba Mahakal's temple. Therefore, keeping in mind the expected crowds on New Year's Day, the Mahakal Temple administration has intensified preparations. It is estimated that around 1 million devotees will visit Ujjain between December 25th and January 5th to visit Lord Mahakal.

A new structure for the darshan system is being developed to manage the growing crowds. This initiative has been initiated by temporarily suspending online booking for Bhasma Aarti. This change is observed from time to time.

Moolchand Junwal, Assistant Administrator of the Mahakal Temple Committee, stated that every year, on New Year's Day, a large crowd gathers for Bhasma Aarti. Devotees desire to witness Lord Mahakal's Bhasma Aarti in person early in the morning, but due to limited space, it is not possible to allow everyone. Therefore, the decision has been made to temporarily suspend online booking for Bhasma Aarti from December 25th to January 5th.

He added that during this period, offline permission for general devotees will also not be available at the booking counter. Despite this, keeping the convenience of devotees in mind, a free mobile darshan system has been put in place from Kartikeya Mandapam, allowing all visitors to comfortably view Mahakal without any disruption.

It should be noted that since the establishment of Mahakal Lok, the number of devotees has been steadily increasing. To address this, the Mahakal Temple Committee has taken several important decisions from time to time, keeping devotees' convenience in mind. At some time, a large crowd will be seen in Mahakal's court on New Year's Day. This change has been made for this reason. Furthermore, the temporary suspension of the 250 rupee fast darshan facility on December 31st and January 1st is also being considered. It is being reported that this option is being discontinued in the new darshan management plan. Last year, due to heavy crowds, fast-track darshan was discontinued on these two days, and devotees of all categories were allowed to have darshan of Lord Mahakal under a uniform arrangement.
