While giving information about the new schedule of Aarti Puja to be held on the day of Mahashivratri, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust said that according to tradition, four prahar aarti have been held at Baba Vishwanath Dham on Mahashivratri.

According to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, while discussing the puja schedule on the day of Mahashivratri, it was told that Baba's Mangala Aarti will start at 2:15 am and will be completed at around 3:15 pm and then the doors will be opened for the devotees to visit at 3:30 pm.

Four prahar aarti will start at this time in the night.

After this, midday bhog aarti will be organized at 11:40 am. This aarti will be completed by 12:20 pm. In the same sequence, he also told the schedule of the aarti of four prayers. He said that four aartis would be organized from 11 pm to 6.30 am the next day. He further said that the doors of the temple will not be closed on the night of Mahashivratri. Hence, visitors will be given a chance to have a darshan.
