Mokshada Ekadashi 2025: Can Tulsi be worshipped on Mokshada Ekadashi? Read the answer here...

According to the calendar, Mokshada Ekadashi (Mokshada Ekadashi 2025) is celebrated on the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) of the month of Margashirsha. This Ekadashi falls on December 1st. Geeta Jayanti is also celebrated every year on this day, marking the birth of the Bhagavad Gita. To attain auspicious results on this day, you can worship Tulsi in this manner.

Worship Tulsi Mata in this way:
On Mokshada Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning, bathe, and wear clean clothes. Clean the place of worship and worship Lord Vishnu as per the rituals. Be sure to include Tulsi leaves in the offerings to Lord Vishnu on this day. In the evening, light a ghee lamp near the Tulsi plant and circumambulate it seven times. Also chant Tulsi Mata's mantras during the puja.

Tulsi Mantras -
1. Mahaprasad Janani Sarva Saubhagyavardhini, Aadhi Vyadhi Hara Nityam Tulsi Tvam Namostute.

2. Tulsi Gayatri - Om Tulsidevyai Cha Vidmahe, Vishnupriyai Cha Dhimahi, Tanno Vrinda Prachodayat.

Take Special Care

Offering water to Tulsi on Ekadashi is not considered auspicious. Nor is it considered auspicious to remove Tulsi leaves on this day. Therefore, you can remove Tulsi leaves a day in advance to offer as an offering to Lord Vishnu. Alternatively, fallen leaves can also be used in the Tulsi pot.

Only then will you receive Goddess Lakshmi's blessings.

Take special care to maintain cleanliness around the Tulsi plant on Ekadashi. Avoid placing items like shoes, slippers, brooms, or dustbins near the Tulsi plant. Otherwise, you may incur the displeasure of the Goddess of Wealth. Also, avoid touching Tulsi with dirty or unclean hands. Worship Tulsi only after bathing on Ekadashi.
