What Should Be Offered to the Shivling? Monday is considered an auspicious day for the worship of Lord Shiva. It is believed that performing *Puja* (worship) of Lord Mahadev on this day, in accordance with proper rituals, brings about significant positive changes in life and resolves all troubles. The scriptures accord special significance to the worship of Shiva on Mondays. It is believed that performing acts of charity and offering specific items to the Shivling on this day pleases Lord Bholenath. Furthermore, it creates favorable conditions for happiness in marital life and advancement in one's career. Let us explore which items are considered auspicious to offer to the Shivling on a Monday.

**Panchamrit**
Offering *Panchamrit* (a sacred five-ingredient mixture) to the Shivling and performing *Abhishek* (ritual bathing) with it on a Monday is considered extremely auspicious. **Offer Sandalwood and Akshat**
On a Monday, meditate upon and recite the various names of Lord Shiva. Thereafter, offer sandalwood paste and *Akshat* (unbroken rice grains) to the Shivling. According to astrological principles, it also helps pacify the negative influence of inauspicious planets present in one's horoscope.
**Offer Grains**
On a Monday, offer wheat, rice, or other grains to the Shivling. It is believed that doing so leads to an increase in wealth and material abundance. Furthermore, it ensures that happiness and prosperity continue to reside within the family.
**Offer Shami Flowers**
On the auspicious day of Monday, offer *Shami* flowers to the Shivling. This practice brings success to an individual's endeavors and helps in the completion of tasks that had previously stalled.
