Following in the footsteps of Netflix, another streaming giant—Prime Video—has locked in its streaming dates for the year 2026. In terms of both its storytelling style and star power, the lineup appears to be quite intriguing.

Anand L. Rai to Produce the Film
This announcement was made collectively during an event titled "It Starts Here." The slate includes two projects starring Hrithik Roshan: *Storm* and *Mess*. Additionally, Yami Gautam's horror-comedy, *Nai Naveli*, is also part of this lineup. The film is being produced by Anand L. Rai and directed by Balaji Mohan. It is set to be a humorous blend of Indian mythology and folklore, featuring Yami in a "fierce" avatar.

The story for this film has been penned by Divya Nidhi Sharma, who has previously worked on projects such as *Sitaare Zameen Par*, *Laapataa Ladies*, and *Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar*. Following *Nakhrewali*, this marks her second collaboration with Anand L. Rai on the film *Nai Naveli*.

Work Underway on Post-Production
The film's script has been completed, and pre-production work is currently in progress. While specific details regarding the release date for *Nai Naveli* remain scarce, the film is slated to arrive on the OTT platform Prime Video following its theatrical release. Yami was most recently seen alongside Emraan Hashmi in the film *Haq*.

It is worth noting that this genre will not be entirely new territory for Yami Gautam. She previously starred in the 2021 film *Bhoot Police*, which also featured Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Her most recent comedy film, *Dhoom Dhaam*—co-starring Pratik Gandhi—was released in 2025.
