Never Gift These Things: As the new year approaches, everyone starts thinking about what gifts to give their loved ones, friends, or relatives. We all want our gifts to not only be liked by the recipient but also to convey our affection and the positive energy of our effort. However, sometimes we give gifts without thinking, which are not considered auspicious according to Vastu Shastra. As a result, the gift may look beautiful, but it can increase stress, financial difficulties, distance in relationships, and mental unrest in the recipient's home.

People often say that giving gifts is a sign of love, but if that gift disrupts the energy, its effects can last a long time. Therefore, when choosing a gift, don't just focus on appearance or expense, but understand the energy of the gift. Astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma from Bhopal is sharing 7 gifts that should never be given on New Year's or any other special occasion.
1. Do not gift a tortoise: A tortoise looks cute and auspicious, but gifting it is not considered right. It is considered a source of wealth and brings prosperity to its owner. When you give it to someone else, you transfer the positive energy and good luck of your home. This can directly affect your financial situation. Therefore, keep a tortoise only in your own home; do not give it away.
2. Avoid black wallets: The color black is considered a symbol of negative energy. Gifting a black wallet can increase mental stress, confusion, and sometimes financial difficulties. It brings negative vibes into the life of the person who receives it. Therefore, if you want to gift a wallet, choose positive and wealth-attracting colors like red, yellow, green, or gold.
3. Fountains or water showpieces: Flowing water represents the flow of life in Feng Shui and Vastu, but gifting it can stop the flow of money for the recipient or lead to continuous expenses. It is often placed in the home without much thought, and its negative effects are seen later. Therefore, stay away from fountains or water-based showpieces.
4. Don't gift a clock: A clock symbolizes time, and gifting one can create distance in relationships. Many experts believe that gifting a clock means that time slips through your fingers, and your relationships may weaken. Only give a clock if the recipient specifically asks for it or gives something in return; otherwise, don't.
5. Knives, scissors, or any sharp objects: Sharp objects are considered symbols of cutting ties and creating distance in relationships. Many people gift kitchen sets or knives, but this can increase conflict, arguments, and resentment in relationships. If you absolutely have to gift such an item, exchange it for a coin from the recipient.
6. Gifting a mirror is harmful: A mirror is considered a reflector of energy. A mirror placed in the wrong direction or location can destroy the positive energy of a house. If you gift a mirror, you don't know where it will be placed, and it could hurt the recipient's home.
7. Empty purse or box: Whether it's a purse, a cosmetic box, or any gift box, don't gift it empty. Empty things give off negative vibes. Always put a rupee, a coin, or something sweet inside before gifting it, so that there is a positive beginning and things prosper together.

8. Things to keep in mind while giving gifts: Always give clean and positive items. - Have good intentions while choosing a gift. - Religious items, plants, sweets, or a silver coin are good options. - It's even better if the time of giving the gift is auspicious.
