Tuesdays falling within the month of *Jyeshtha* hold immense significance in Hinduism and are known as 'Bade Mangal' or 'Budhwa Mangal.' This day is dedicated to the special worship of *Sankatmochan* (Remover of Troubles) Lord Hanuman. Since Lord Hanuman is considered to be the 11th *Rudra Avatar* (incarnation) of Lord Shiva, worshipping the *Shivling* on the auspicious occasion of *Bade Mangal* not only pleases *Mahadev* but also invokes the grace of *Bajrangbali*. So, in this article, let us explore what offerings should be made to the *Shivling* on the first *Bade Mangal*.

**Offer These Items to the Shivling**
**Red Sandalwood and Red Flowers:** While Lord Shiva generally favors white-colored items, on the day dedicated to Lord Hanuman—i.e., *Bade Mangal*—applying a paste of red sandalwood to the *Shivling* and offering red roses or hibiscus flowers is considered highly auspicious. This practice helps mitigate the negative effects associated with the planet Mars (*Mangal*).

**Water and *Akshat* (Unbroken Rice) from a Copper Vessel:** Fill a copper vessel (*Lota*) with holy water (such as *Gangajal*), mix in a few grains of *Akshat*, and offer it to the *Shivling* while chanting "Om Namah Shivaya."

**Bilva Leaves and *Besan Laddoos*:** Offer *Bilva* (Bael) leaves to *Mahadev* and, simultaneously, offer *Besan Laddoos* (gram flour sweets)—which are a favorite of Lord Hanuman—as *Bhog* (sacred food offering). Distributing this *Bhog* as *Prasad* (blessed food) after the worship brings peace and harmony to the home.

**Rules for Worship**
Wear red or yellow-colored garments after taking a bath.
Keep in mind that while Lord Hanuman is fond of *Tulsi* (Holy Basil), *Tulsi* leaves should never be offered to the *Shivling*, as this is considered prohibited.
Sitting before the *Shivling* to recite the *Hanuman Chalisa* and concluding the ritual with the *Aarti* (hymn of light) of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman is considered highly meritorious.
After the worship, humbly seek forgiveness for any errors or omissions made during the ritual.
