Bageshwar Dham Kanya Vivah Mahotsav 2026: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri on February 15th, the 'Seventh Kanya Vivah Mahotsav' (Mass Marriage Ceremony for Girls) will be organized at Bageshwar Dham. This marriage ceremony will facilitate the auspicious marriage of many orphaned and underprivileged girls. These girls will be from 10 states of India, as well as from Nepal. According to reports, all the expenses for this wedding will be covered by the funds received from the donation box at Bageshwar Dham.

Girls have been selected from approximately 60 districts across 10 states of India, including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and also some girls from Nepal. The total number of selected girls is said to be 300. Some of them have no father, some have no mother, some are disabled, and some have disabled parents. Some come from extremely poor families, while others are orphans.

Millions will witness this event.

Dhirendra Shastri says that this festival is a three-day event, being held on February 13th, 14th, and 15th. On February 13th, there will be the Haldi and Mandap Puja ceremonies, on February 14th, the Mehndi and Sangeet ceremonies, and on February 15th, the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri, all the girls will be married. Dhirendra Shastri himself will be making all the arrangements, from the wedding procession to the community feast. He says that this year he will become the spiritual father of more than 1600 girls.
