Navratri is considered a particularly auspicious period for the worship of the Mother Goddess. Each of the Mother's distinct forms bestows unique blessings. On the sixth day of Navratri, Mother Katyayani is worshipped. It is believed that worshipping Mother Katyayani leads to the destruction of enemies, liberation from debt, and the eradication of diseases. Akhilesh Agrahari, a scholar from Vindhyadham, has provided details regarding the proper rituals for worshipping the Mother Goddess. He explained that one should offer honey, yellow-colored flowers, or yellow-hued sweets to Mother Katyayani; such offerings delight her and bring peace to the mind. She grants her devotees their heart's desires. Performing this special worship of the Mother Goddess eliminates enemies and resolves financial difficulties.

Relief from Illness
Akhilesh Agrahari stated that Mother Katyayani is worshipped on the sixth day of Navratri. Mother Katyayani is the Goddess who grants victory over enemies, provides relief from ailments, and boosts self-confidence. She also liberates devotees from the burden of debt. Before commencing the worship of the Mother Goddess, one should take a ritual bath. After bathing, clean the temple area. Perform an *abhishek* (ritual bathing) of Mother Durga with water. Offer *akshat* (unbroken rice grains), red sandalwood paste, a *chunari* (sacred scarf), vermilion (*sindoor*), and yellow and red flowers. Sweets and various fruits may be offered as *prasad* (sacred food offering). Light a lamp (*deepak*) and incense sticks (*dhoop*) in the temple. Perform the special *Kalash Sthapana* (sacred pot installation) ritual and recite the *Durga Saptashati*. Chant the mantras dedicated to Mother Katyayani.

Chant This Mantra
Akhilesh Agrahari advised devotees to chant specific mantras dedicated to Mother Katyayani, such as "Om Devi Katyayani Namah." Offer *Bhog* (sacred food) to Mother Katyayani, consisting of items made with honey and turmeric. Offer yellow garments to the Mother Goddess, as the color yellow is her absolute favorite. If the number of enemies or the burden of debt in one's life has increased significantly, one may arrange for a special worship ceremony dedicated to Mother Katyayani with the assistance of a pilgrimage priest (*Teerth Purohit*) or a learned scholar (*Acharya*).
