Parenting: How to massage your baby in winter? Parenting Coach reveals which oil is best..

Parenting Tips: Massaging children is recommended to strengthen their muscles. Massage also has a positive effect on their sleep, immunity, and growth. However, it's crucial to keep certain things in mind during winter massages. Parenting coach Archana Sirohi shared a video on her Instagram handle, highlighting five important points. The parenting coach says that even small mistakes while massaging a baby in winter can cause significant harm to their health. So, let's learn how to massage a baby in winter:

Number 1 - Use the right oil.
Archana Sirohi says, "First, pay attention to the oil. Never massage your baby with cold oil in winter. This can cause cold and dry skin. Always warm the oil slightly before applying it to your baby's body. However, be sure to ensure the oil isn't too hot, as this could burn your baby's delicate skin or cause rashes." You can use mustard oil, coconut oil, almond oil, or sesame oil, warmed slightly. All of these nourish the skin and keep the body warm.

Number 2 - Avoid massaging in a cold room
If the room temperature is cold and the baby's skin is exposed, he or she may catch a cold immediately. In such a situation, always massage in a warm room. First, set the room to a comfortable temperature or run a heater for a while.
This will keep the baby relaxed and ensure the full benefits of the massage.

Number 3 - Choose the right time for the massage
Archana Sirohi explains that massaging too early in the morning or in the evening can cause the baby to catch a cold. The best time is between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. This time, there is mild sunlight and the temperature is also better.

Number 4 - Bathe the baby after the massage

Many people avoid bathing their baby in winter, but it is important to remove the oil from the skin after the massage. Oil accumulation on the skin can cause rashes or pimples. In such a situation, bathe the baby with lukewarm water about 30 minutes after the massage. If it is very cold, you can give the baby a sponge bath.

Number 5 - Don't massage too hard.
A baby's bones and muscles are very delicate. Therefore, always use light, soft, and circular strokes. Hard pressure can cause pain, injury, or even joint damage.
