Parenting Tips: Today's world is fast-paced, filled with gadgets, social media, and virtual connections. Children today are focused on studies and careers, but the importance of relationships is increasingly lost. Gen Z children are becoming more practical, while those in the Alpha generation may lack a grasp of the value of relationships. The depth of emotions and the value of relationships may be lost on these new generation children. Therefore, it's the responsibility of parents and families to not only teach children the importance of relationships but also to teach them how to live. Here are some ways parents can adopt to teach today's children the importance of relationships.

Teach them to spend time with family.
Don't limit children to just friends and social media. Let them know that true happiness lies in sitting with grandparents, playing with siblings, and sharing meals with family. When a child spends time with their family from childhood, they develop affection for them, which helps make relationships important in their lives.
Connect with festivals and traditions.
Meeting with relatives during festivals, prayers, or family gatherings teaches children the true meaning of togetherness. They crave the presence of family on special occasions.
Enhance Emotional Intelligence
It's important to teach children that life isn't just about marks or money, but rather the depth of relationships. Share stories with them that exemplify these relationships.

Balancing Technology
Limit screen time and cultivate a habit of connecting with real relationships. Teach them that video calls are a way to see relatives, but true intimacy is felt in person.
Be a role model
If parents value their relationships, show respect, and a sense of belonging, children will learn the same.
