The Paush Putrada Ekadashi fast is considered very important in Hinduism. This Ekadashi falls in the Shukla Paksha (bright half) of the Paush month and is observed especially for the attainment of children and their well-being and prosperity. According to the Vedic calendar, the Ekadashi tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Paush month will begin on December 30th at 7:50 AM. The Ekadashi tithi will end on December 31st at 5:00 AM. Therefore, the Paush Putrada Ekadashi fast will be observed on December 30th (Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025).

Paush Putrada Ekadashi Puja Method (Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025 Puja Vidhi)
On the day of the fast, wake up during the Brahma Muhurta (early morning) and take a bath.
Wear yellow clothes and take a vow to observe the fast by holding water in your hand.
Install an idol of Lord Vishnu.
Bathe the idol with Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar).
Offer yellow clothes, yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, rice grains, incense, and a lamp to the deity.
Offer yellow sweets and fruits to Lord Vishnu.
Be sure to include Tulsi leaves in the offering.

Those who desire children should especially offer Panchamrit to the Lord.
During the puja, chant the mantra "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" 108 times.
On this day, recite the Putrada Ekadashi Vrat Katha (story).
Finally, perform the Aarti and ask for forgiveness for any mistakes made during the puja.
The next day, feed a Brahmin or a poor person and give donations during an auspicious time.
After that, break the fast.
