Meanwhile, misleading reports are circulating on social media claiming that the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana has already been released. However, this is not the case; the government has not yet announced any official date for this installment.

Will the wait for the 24th installment end on Dussehra?
The Ministry of Agriculture has not yet made any official announcement regarding when the wait for the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana will end. Nevertheless, many farmers anticipate that the wait for the upcoming installment will conclude around Dussehra. This year, the festival of Dussehra falls on Tuesday, October 20, followed by Diwali 18 days later, on November 8, 2026.

Farmers are hopeful that the government might release the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana on the occasion of Dussehra, ahead of Diwali. However, the Ministry of Agriculture typically issues a notification a few days prior to the release, specifying the date and details regarding the disbursement of the installment.

Looking at past trends, the third installment of the 2025 calendar year (and the second of the financial year) was released on November 19. Last time, the festival of Diwali fell on October 20.
