Pregnancy: Taking paracetamol during pregnancy is dangerous! The baby growing in the womb can get this serious disease..

Why Paracetamol Should Not Be Eaten in Pregnancy: It is very important for women to take care of every little thing during pregnancy. Because, at this time, the woman lives less for herself and more for the baby in the womb. Therefore, even a small negligence can prove fatal for the baby. Pain is a common problem in pregnancy. Therefore, whenever there is a fever or body pain in pregnancy, without thinking about anything, people take paracetamol medicines like Crocin, Calpol, Dolo. But, according to research, doing this is dangerous.

It directly affects the health of the baby. According to research, taking paracetamol during pregnancy can increase the risk of autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and neurodevelopmental diseases in the baby.

Research published in the Indian Express states that once the element present in paracetamol crosses the placenta barrier, it causes great damage to the fetus and affects the development of the child, and causes liver damage. According to research, the use of paracetamol without thinking during pregnancy can increase the risk of reproductive and urogenital disorders in children. In this disease, the child's urethra (urinary hole) does not open at the tip of the reproductive organ.

What is paracetamol?

According to Dr. Jyotsna Devi, Senior Gynecologist of LAJP Hospital, paracetamol is also known as acetaminophen. In medical language, it is a B category drug. It is used to treat pain and fever. It is an over-the-counter drug, so it can be taken even without a doctor's prescription. Taking it in a therapeutic dose during pregnancy is safe; more than that can be harmful for the child. Women consume it in large quantities during pregnancy to avoid fever and pain. According to doctors, if a woman consumes it during pregnancy, expert advice is necessary.

Is there a risk of miscarriage from taking paracetamol?
According to experts, it is not true that taking paracetamol can cause miscarriage in pregnant women. But the consumption of medicines should be kept as low as possible during pregnancy. Depending on the severity of pain and fever, a dose of 500 mg to 1000 mg is required every 4 to 6 hours.

Problems caused by paracetamol
