Premanand Maharaj: If a hair or a fly falls into the food, is it auspicious or inauspicious to eat?

Premanand Ji Maharaj: Food not only provides energy to our body, but it also affects our mind, thoughts, and sadhana. The type of food we eat, our nature, and lifestyle also start becoming like that. Saint Premanand Maharaj says that the sadhak must follow special rules related to food. Recently, Premanand Ji Maharaj talked about the importance of food and its effect on life in his discourse. Let us know in detail...

Stay away from stale and impure food.

Maharaj Ji clearly says that consumption of stale food hinders sadhana. Food cooked at night should not be eaten in the morning, and food cooked in the morning should not be kept till evening. Other fresh dishes like dal and roti become impure after a long time. Only some dishes made in ghee or oil remain safe.

Premanand Ji Maharaj says that if a hair accidentally falls in the food or a fly comes and dies, then that food should be discarded immediately. Such food is considered impure. Consuming it is considered inappropriate from the point of view of purity. This not only hurts sadhana, but can also prove to be harmful to health.

Importance of utensils

We should be very careful about the utensils with which we eat. Premanand Maharaj has advised sadhaks to avoid bronze utensils. In his view, earthen and brass utensils are auspicious for sadhana. These utensils maintain the purity of body and mind.

Mind during meals

Premanand Maharaj says that the sadhak's mind should be completely stable while eating. While eating, a person should neither concentrate too much on food nor think too much about any person, object, or place. By doing this, the quality and nature of food affects you. If you think too much or have negative thoughts during this time, then its qualities can also enter inside you.
