Saint Premananda Birthday: Devotees from different states of the country have camped in Vrindavan to celebrate the birth anniversary of Saint Premananda. On the day of the birth anniversary, only the detached family was allowed to enter Shri Radha Kelikunj. In such a situation, the devotees celebrated the birth anniversary of Saint Premananda with gaiety in the night padayatra. The entire route of the padyatra was decorated with flowers and wonderful electric lights.

Camels and horses were walking along in the padayatra, while women in the form of gopis were walking with Mangal Kalash on their heads. When Saint Premananda was moving forward in the padayatra with the chanting of Radha Radha. Devotees standing on the roadside performed his aarti and congratulated the saint on his birthday.

Saint Premananda performed Vedic worship of Ashtasakhis along with Shri Radhaji in Shri Radha Kelikunj. After this, he reached Guru Sthan and worshipped his Guru Saint Govindsharan Maharaj with Vedic rituals. The detached family was present in the ashram throughout the day to participate in the religious rituals.

Festival being celebrated for five days

The birth anniversary of Saint Premanand, who became famous in the country and the world by spreading the name of Shri Radhanaam, is being celebrated in Shri Radha Kelikunj for the last five days. But, on Nav Samvat, the birth anniversary of Saint Premanand was celebrated with various religious rituals in the presence of the detached family in Shri Radha Kelikunj.

In the festival which started amidst the Nam Sankirtan, Saint Premanand worshipped Shriji's swing by showering flowers in the morning. After this, Shriji was seated in the swing with his eight friends. The detached family enjoyed with Saint Premanand in the darshan of Shriji's swing. Amidst the religious events going on in the ashram, Saint Premanand reached to worship Guru Saint Govindsharan Maharaj on his birth anniversary and seek his blessings.

Happiness prevailed in the padayatra

When Saint Premanand set out for the padayatra from his residence at Shri Krishna Sharanam, the road was decorated with rangoli of flowers and wonderful lighting from the beginning till Shri Radha Kelikunj. Lakhs of devotees who had reached the road hours before were eager to have the darshan of Sant Premanand. As soon as the saint left for the padayatra, fireworks started on the road.

Accepting the greetings of the devotees with the chants of Radha Radha, devotees sitting on the roadside performed aarti and congratulated Sant Premanand on his birthday. In the padayatra, decorated horses and camels were walking ahead. Band players and dancers were dancing behind them. Passing through the arches of balloons decorated at various places, Sant Premanand reached Shri Radha Kelikunj while doing padayatra.

Worshipped the feet of the Guru on his birthday

Saint Premanand reached Guru Sthan at Barahghat on his birthday. In the presence of the detached family, Sant Premanand worshipped his Guru Sant Govindsharan Maharaj in Vedic manner. He draped Shreeji's prasadi chunari on him and performed aarti by applying sandalwood and perfume. After worshipping the Guru and taking his blessings, Sant Premanand reached Shri Radha Kelikunj. Then the whole day's celebration began.

Regular events held in the ashram
On the birth anniversary of Saint Premanand, devotees participated with enthusiasm in Naam Sankirtan, Satsang, Shriji's swing darshan, Shrihit Chaturasi Paath on Sunday morning. After this, after the darshan of Saint Premanand, Mangal Aarti was enjoyed. Akhand Radhanaam Sankirtan was going on which started with Shringar Aarti. In the evening, the detached group also participated in Vani Paath.
