Best Ways to Discipline Kids: Every parent dreams of their children being intelligent and disciplined. However, some children, due to their stubborn nature, resist discipline. When children don't understand even after repeated explanations, parents become frustrated. In such situations, parents resort to beating and hitting their children. However, it's not right to discipline children by scolding or harsh punishment. This can have a profound impact on their mental health. Now the question is: why shouldn't a child be hit? What impact does beating have on a child's mental health? How should children be handled? Let's learn more about this:

Physical punishment has no benefits in parenting.
According to a report published in the National Library of Medicine, physical punishment has no benefits in raising children. Rather, it hinders their physical and mental development. UNICEF reported in 2017 that approximately 300 million children aged 2 to 4 worldwide experience mental or physical punishment by their caregivers. Most of these children were punished by being slapped.
Why shouldn't children be spanked?
According to the report, when you spank a child, the stress hormone (cortisol) is released in their body. This can cause chronic stress. This hormone release can fill the child with fear, anger, frustration, and negativity. Instead of improving, this can make the child more stubborn or timid. Remember – discipline is important, but with love and patience.

Teach with love, not with beating.
When a child lives and learns in a positive environment, they become confident and happy. Therefore, teach with love, not with beating. Because hitting a child does not improve them, but rather breaks them. According to parenting experts, praise your child for good work, not forcefully, and give them a chance to understand. Instead of punishing, adopt a smart approach: sit them down and talk to them lovingly. These habits help instill discipline in children.
