South Indian superstar Rajinikanth has completed 50 years in the film industry. During this time, he has given Indian cinema many outstanding films. To honor his work, he will be honored at the closing ceremony of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

240 Films to be Screened
Over 240 films from 81 countries will be screened at the festival, which will be held from November 20 to 28. This year, IFFI will feature 13 world premieres, four international premieres, and 46 Asian premieres. Organizers stated that they received 2,314 films from 127 countries.
Film to be Screened at the Opening
The festival's opening film will be "The Blue Trail," directed by Brazilian filmmaker Gabriel Mascaro.
The country that will receive the most attention at the festival this year is Japan.
Tributes to these artists
IFFI will pay tribute by showcasing the works of filmmakers and artists, including Guru Dutt, Raj Khosla, Ritwik Ghatak, P. Bhanumathi, Bhupen Hazarika, and Salil Chowdhury.
Artists to conduct masterclasses
Many renowned artists from Indian and international cinema will conduct masterclasses during the festival. These include Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher, Ravi Varman, Bobby Deol, Suhasini Maniratnam, Khushbu Sundar, Pete Draper, Sreekar Prasad, and Christopher Charles Corbould.

Award-winning films will be screened.
Films that have won awards at global festivals like Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Locarno will also be screened at IFFI 2025.
Rajinikanth's work front
Rajinikanth has worked not only in South Indian films but also in Bollywood. He was last seen in the film "Coolie," which also starred Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. Rajinikanth will soon be seen in the film 'Jailer 2'.
