'Ramayana', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, is set to hit theaters on November 5. There is significant excitement surrounding this major project, which is based on the Indian epic.

Bookings for the film opened on the occasion of Dussehra and have received a positive response from the audience. The film has recorded strong figures over the first eight days of pre-sales.
How many tickets have been sold for the opening day?
According to Sacnilk, over 2.77 lakh tickets have been sold for the first day of 'Ramayana'—a figure that includes blocked seats. Excluding these blocked seats, approximately 2.22 lakh tickets have been sold.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film has generated a total of ₹14.64 crore through bookings (including blocked seats). Excluding the blocked seats, the revenue for the opening day stands at ₹11.88 crore.
What is the status of the advance collection?
While these figures point to a promising start, the bookings have not reached the levels one might have expected, given the film's scale and reported budget. Based on the current pace, the pre-release earnings could have been higher; it was anticipated that the gross collection over the eight-day period would reach approximately ₹22–27 crore.
As of now, that has not materialized. It is worth noting that 'Ramayana' has been produced on a budget of ₹4,000 crore. However, a clearer picture will emerge as the release date draws closer. Comparisons to be drawn
Given the scale of 'Ramayanam', its opening-day earnings will be compared to those of 'Pushpa 2', 'RRR', and 'Baahubali 2'—films that currently hold the top three records.

'Pushpa 2' recorded a worldwide collection of ₹275.01 crore, with ₹164.25 crore coming from within the country. It is expected that 'Ramayanam' will surpass ₹100 crore in its opening-day earnings. The film's performance during the Diwali period will also be crucial in determining how well it sustains its run at the box office.
