Rakul Responds to a Fan's Letter
Recently, a fan wrote an open letter to Rakul, wishing her the best for the film, which is set to release around Diwali. The fan also asked why she chose to play Shurpanakha—a character often misunderstood.

The letter reached Rakul, and she responded by sharing it on her X (formerly Twitter) account. She wrote, "Thank you for this beautiful letter. The very reason you mentioned is why I chose the role of Shurpanakha—her complexity.

History often remembers her for just a single moment, but her story is far more than that. As an actor, characters that challenge people's perceptions are the most intriguing. I hope that when ‘Ramayana’ releases, the audience will watch it with an open mind."
