Mukut shared an Instagram post on the film's 10th anniversary, writing, "I have been fascinated by filmmaking since childhood. What attracted me the most was the idea of ​​being the person who initiates it."

He further wrote, "Being a producer means shouldering many responsibilities. From the script to the actors, crew, budget, and countless other things, a producer is responsible for everything. With my first film as a producer, I wanted to make a romantic film with a strong emotional core."

Sanam Teri Kasam was released in 2016. Although the film was not commercially successful initially, it later became the second-highest-grossing re-released film of 2025.

Although the film didn't perform well at the box office initially, I always had faith in it. My faith was proven right when the film was re-released and created history.
