The Censor Board was still reviewing the film and had recommended several cuts; however, OTT content does not currently fall under the Censor Board's jurisdiction.

The film 'Satluj' was released on ZEE5 on July 3. However, two days later, the government ordered its removal, citing concerns related to national security. Regarding the screening of 'Satluj' at private venues without certification, the government official remarked that ensuring compliance with the law and taking action against violators is the responsibility of the state government.

Why did the film 'Satluj' become controversial?
Directed by Honey Trehan, the film 'Satluj' is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. He had investigated the cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies in Punjab between 1984 and 1994. In 1995, police personnel were accused of his abduction and murder.
