During this time, you may perform the ritual bath, make donations, and offer *Tarpan* for your ancestors. You may also perform these rituals at sunrise (05:49 AM) or anytime thereafter. However, please note that today also marks the last solar eclipse of the year.

Since today is a Wednesday, there is no *Abhijit Muhurat*. However, the *Labh-Unnati* (Gain/Progress) *Muhurat* is available from 05:49 AM to 07:28 AM, and the *Amrit-Sarvottam* (Nectar/Best) *Muhurat* is from 07:28 AM to 09:07 AM. You can also derive spiritual merit by performing bathing, charity, and *Tarpan* during these times.

Rituals for Bathing, Charity, and Tarpan on Sawan Amavasya

On Sawan Amavasya, wake up early in the morning and complete your ablutions (bathing, etc.). If you have access to a river or a holy pilgrimage site, it is ideal to bathe there. Alternatively, you can simply add *Gangajal* (water from the Ganges) to your bathwater at home. Afterward, put on clean clothes.

Perform *Tarpan* (offering water) for your ancestors using a vessel filled with water, black sesame seeds, and white flowers. The offering should ideally be made using *Kusha* grass; the water dripping from the tips of the grass reaches the ancestors. If you are unable to do this, simply hold water in your hands while remembering your ancestors, offer it to them, and bow in reverence. Say, "O Ancestral Deities! I am satiating you all with this water; may you all be satisfied and pleased."

After bathing and performing *Tarpan*, donate items such as food grains, clothing, utensils, fruits, vegetables, blankets, or umbrellas according to your means. This will please your ancestors, earn you their blessings, and liberate you from sins and *Pitra Dosh* (ancestral affliction).
