Saturday Remedies: In Hinduism, Saturday is considered a very special day. This day is dedicated to Lord Shani, the god of justice, who rewards people according to their karma. It is believed that Shani's influence on life is very profound. Every person has to face Shani's Sade Sati or Dhaiya (periods of Shani's influence) at some point in their life. This is why people are more cautious about Saturdays. Shani is often considered a harsh planet, but the truth is that if Lord Shani is pleased, even stalled work starts progressing rapidly. On the other hand, even a small mistake can lead to Shani's displeasure. There are specific beliefs regarding the purchase of certain items on Saturdays. Astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma from Bhopal provides more information on this topic.

1. Iron: Buying iron or any item made of iron on Saturday is considered inauspicious. Iron is directly associated with Lord Shani. Bringing it home on this day can increase tension, arguments, and unrest in the house. If you need to donate iron, buy it on another day and donate it on Saturday.
2. Salt: One should avoid buying salt on Saturday. It is believed that this increases expenses, and money doesn't stay in hand. It can sometimes even lead to debt. If you run out of salt at home, it's better to buy it on Friday. Donating salt on Saturday is considered beneficial.
3. Black Sesame Seeds: Black sesame seeds are used in Shani Puja, but buying them on Saturday is not considered auspicious. It is said that buying sesame seeds on this day can cause obstacles in work. It is better to buy black sesame seeds a day in advance for puja.
4. Mustard Oil or Other Oils: Offering mustard oil to Lord Shani on Saturday is considered auspicious, but buying oil on the same day is considered inauspicious. It is believed that this can increase health-related problems. Try to buy the oil in advance.
5. Black Shoes and Sandals: One should also avoid buying black shoes, sandals, or leather items on Saturday. This can lead to career obstacles, failure in work, and increased fatigue. If necessary, shop on another day.
6. Broom: In some places, buying a broom on Saturday is considered inauspicious. It is said that this reduces the positive energy in the house and can increase financial difficulties. Friday or Tuesday are considered better days to buy a broom.
7. Black Clothes (for wearing): Wearing black clothes on Saturday is considered acceptable, but buying new black clothes is not considered auspicious. If you need to buy black clothes, it is considered good to buy them for the purpose of donation.

What is auspicious to buy on Saturday? Buying items related to worship, grains, rice, flour, and black clothes for donation is considered auspicious on Saturday. Buying items related to Lord Shani or Lord Shiva is also considered beneficial.
