Navratri is considered a special time for worshipping the Mother Goddess. Devotees worship various forms of the Mother Goddess. On the second day of Navratri, Mother Brahmacharini is worshipped. It is believed in the Puranas that the Mother Goddess performed severe penance to attain Lord Shiva and assumed this form. Mother Brahmacharini is particularly fond of white clothes and sugar candy as offerings. Special worship and offerings to this form of the Mother Goddess bring desired results and victory over enemies.

Vindhyadham's Acharya, Pt. Anupam Maharaj explained that Mother Brahmacharini is worshipped on the second day of Navratri. The Mother Goddess observed the Brahmacharini fast to attain Lord Shiva. She underwent severe penance. Since then, this form has become known worldwide as Brahmacharini. This form of the Mother Goddess has two arms. In this form, she wears white clothes, holds a kamandalu in one hand and a rosary in the other, representing a recluse. Mother Brahmacharini performed severe penance to attain Lord Shiva and assumed this form. After this penance, Lord Shiva was pleased and accepted her.

How to worship on the next day:

Acharya Anupam Maharaj explained that Mother Brahmacharini's favorite offerings are white clothes and sugar candy. Offering sugar candy on this day, then offering Prasad. The one who receives the Prasad will experience mental peace, a transformation in their mind and emotions, happiness and prosperity, and increased mental concentration. Worship Mother Brahmacharini as per the rituals. Offer special offerings and offer a scarf to her. Mother Brahmacharini is very fond of a red scarf. Doing so will appease Mother Brahmacharini and grant her the desired results.
