Under this emerging industry trend, actors charge a nominal fee upfront but retain a significant share of the film's rights or profits. If the film becomes a box-office hit, the actor earns far more than their standard fee. Akshay Kumar, for instance, follows this business model. Reports indicate that he charged a very low fee for the film *Welcome to the Jungle*. When a journalist asked him about a fee of ₹1.8 crore during a promotional event, Akshay quipped, "Why ₹1.8 crore?" "I have charged a fee of just ₹1."

Shraddha Kapoor's remuneration for 'Eetha'

Speaking of Shraddha Kapoor, reports suggest she is set to receive around ₹12–15 crore for the film 'Eetha', while she was offered ₹20 crore for the Ashneer Grover biopic.
