Bollywood singer Arijit Singh's live concert was held in Sector-5 in Panchkula, Haryana on February 16. But the next day, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) locked all the gates of Shalimar Ground, due to which the organizers' belongings and people remained inside. HSVP says that only one day's rent was paid for Arijit's show, while the ground was used for four days.

According to HSVP, the organizers used the Shalimar ground for four to five days, but the payment was deposited for only one day. When the ground was not vacated even by Monday afternoon, HSVP locked all four gates of the ground. There was no gate at one entry, so a big pit was dug there so that no truck could go out with the tents, chairs-tables, sofas, etc. installed inside the ground.
HSVP has divided the ground into two parts. The rent for one part is Rs 1.35 lakh and the other is Rs 23,000. The total rent for one day for both the parts is Rs 1.58 lakh. Officials said that the bill for the number of days the ground was used is being prepared, but the total amount cannot be given right now.
SDO Survey has been instructed to prepare the bill for the number of days the ground was used. Whatever bill is made, the organizers will have to pay it. Manav Malik, estate officer of Haryana Urban Development Authority, said that the organizers had deposited the rent for only one day to HSVP, while the preparations on the ground had started three days ago. The ground was not vacated even till Monday afternoon, so the department locked it.
About Rs 4 lakh is still pending.
The organizers say that the payment demanded by HSVP has been made. There is no information about how much payment has been made for how many days. You can find out by coming to the office. At the same time, the department says that the organizers had not vacated the ground. HSVP officials say that the organizers still owe about Rs 4 lakh, which they have been asked to deposit soon.
The organizers say that the payment demanded by HSVP has been made.
On the other hand, due to the ongoing dispute between the Haryana Urban Development Authority and the organizers of Arijit's program regarding the rent of the ground, the people who had come to take back the rented goods stood outside the closed gate for several hours. After waiting for several hours, one gate was opened and the goods and people came out through that route. People said that we had come to take our goods, but the officials of Haryana Urban Development Authority had locked all the gates. When asked the reason, they said that the organizers did not pay the money for the ground, due to which the goods are inside the ground and all the four gates have been locked.
