Protein-rich soya chaap masala can be made a part of any meal of the day. This dish is so spicy that even non-vegetarians like it a lot. Ingredients

Soya chaap stick – 10-12
Curd – 1/2 cup
Onion – 2
Tomato – 4
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf – 1
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Cardamom – 2
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Whole cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves – 4-5
Butter – 1 tsp
Oil – as per requirement
Salt – as per taste

Recipe

- First of all, take soya chaap and wash them thoroughly in water. After this cut the soya chaap into pieces.

- Keep the pieces a little big so that frying will be easy. Now heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add soya chaap pieces and deep fry them.

- When the color of the chaap turns golden and crispy, turn off the gas and take them out in a vessel.

- Now add curd, half a teaspoon of turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to the fried soya chaap and mix them. Cover the vessel and keep the chaap for marination for half an hour.

- Now take another pan and heat 2 tablespoons oil in it. After the oil is heated, add finely chopped onion, and ginger-garlic paste and fry the onion till it becomes light golden.

- After this, add chopped tomatoes and mix and let it cook well till it becomes soft. After this, turn off the gas.

- When this masala cools down, grind it with the help of a mixer prepare a paste, and keep it aside. Now heat 2 tablespoons oil and 1 teaspoon butter in the pan.

- After this, add bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds and fry them. When the spices start giving out their aroma, add all the remaining spices mix and then saute.

- When the spices are well roasted, add the onion-tomato paste to it. Now let the spices cook on a medium flame for 5-7 minutes.

- When the gravy starts releasing oil, add the marinated masala soya chaap to it and mix it well with the gravy and cook for 2-3 minutes.

- After this, add 1 cup of water and mix it. Now cover the pan and let the soya chaap cook on a medium flame for 15 minutes.

- During this, keep stirring the chaap in between. Finally add kasuri methi to it and turn off the gas. The flavourful soya chaap masala is ready.
