Temperatures are rising rapidly across many parts of the country, and the effects of the heat are now clearly palpable. Intense sunlight, humidity, and heatwaves make even routine daily tasks feel arduous for people. In such weather, the biggest dilemma is deciding exactly what to wear to ensure physical comfort and minimize the impact of the heat. According to experts, choosing the right attire is crucial during this season, as inappropriate clothing not only heightens discomfort but can also lead to excessive sweating, stickiness, and irritability.

In many regions, summer temperatures soar to between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius; under these conditions, wearing light and comfortable clothing becomes essential. Cotton garments are considered the best choice for this season. They not only keep the body cool but also provide a sense of mental tranquility. When the body isn't drenched in sweat, and the skin remains well-ventilated, a person feels significantly more relaxed and refreshed. This is precisely why grandmothers and elders have traditionally advised wearing cotton during the summer months—a piece of traditional wisdom that remains entirely valid to this day.
The question then arises: why, exactly, are cotton clothes considered the best option? Fundamentally, cotton is a completely natural fabric containing no synthetic fibers or chemicals. Its most significant attribute is its breathability—meaning air can circulate through it with ease. This provides a cooling effect to the skin, ensuring that the body does not overheat, even under the scorching sun. Furthermore, cotton rapidly absorbs perspiration and facilitates its quick evaporation, thereby keeping the body dry and cool.
Conversely, synthetic fabrics such as polyester or nylon lack the capacity to absorb sweat. With such materials, perspiration tends to accumulate on the skin's surface, which can exacerbate issues like heat rashes, itching, and body odor. For this very reason, it is strongly advised to avoid wearing such clothing during the summer season. Cotton garments are not only comfortable but are also considered safe for the skin, particularly for those with sensitive skin.

Another distinct feature of cotton clothing is that it is lightweight, soft, and suitable for every occasion. You can effortlessly wear these garments at home, at the office, or anywhere else outdoors. Nowadays, cotton apparel is available in a wide variety of designs—such as stripes, checks, and solid patterns—that strike a balance between both traditional and modern fashion aesthetics. Consequently, they remain both stylish and comfortable.
