After the massive success of 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol is set to make a splash on OTT with the courtroom drama 'Ikka'. He will be seen sharing the screen with Akshaye Khanna in the film. At the trailer launch of 'Ikka', Sunny Deol recently revealed that he had been considering making a sequel to one of his superhit films from 36 years ago.

**The sequel Sunny Deol wanted to make**
Speaking at the trailer launch of 'Ikka' on Monday, Sunny mentioned that there had been discussions about a sequel to his famous courtroom drama 'Damini', but the project ultimately did not materialize. While interacting with the media, the actor stated that although he generally does not praise his own films, courtroom dramas are among his favorite genres. Reminiscing about that unmade sequel, he said, "Of course, I didn't get the opportunity after 'Damini', so when this subject came to me, I was happy."

He added, "I love doing films and playing such characters, even though I don't know how far those characters will go. However, the character's journey is beautiful. It gives me great joy."

**Why did Sunny Deol choose 'Ikka'?**
Regarding his decision to do 'Ikka', Sunny Deol said, "When Siddharth (the director) narrated the story ('Ikka') to me, I really liked it. You never know when or which film will get made; the world keeps changing. Suddenly, Netflix came along and expressed interest in making the film, and I agreed."

Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, 'Ikka' will see Sunny Deol reprise the role of a lawyer. The trailer shows him fighting a major courtroom battle to defend Akshaye Khanna's character—a role that evokes memories of his iconic performance in 'Damini'. Along with Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Shishir Sharma, and Akansha Ranjan also play pivotal roles in this film.
