Where will the solar eclipse be visible?
Today's partial solar eclipse will be visible in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa as well as the areas of the Atlantic Ocean and Arctic Ocean. It will be visible well in North America.
A religious reason for the solar eclipse
During the churning of the ocean, the demon who had deceitfully consumed the nectar was recognized by the Sun and Moon Gods. They informed the Gods about this. Then Vishnu Ji beheaded him with the Sudarshan Chakra. The head was called Rahu and the torso was called Ketu. Both became immortal due to the effect of nectar, so Vishnu Ji gave them a place in the constellation. Both of them are called Paap and Chaya Grahas. Both of them try to swallow the Sun and the Moon every year. This causes an eclipse.
When does a solar eclipse occur?
Every year a solar eclipse occurs on Amavasya and a lunar eclipse on Purnima. Generally, a solar eclipse occurs twice and a lunar eclipse occurs twice in a year.
What to do and what not to do during the Sutak period
However, the Sutak period is not valid in India due to the solar eclipse not being visible. But when the Sutak period occurs, all auspicious works are prohibited. In this, cooking, eating, sleeping, bathing, donating, and looking at the Sun with naked eyes, pregnant women are prohibited from going out of the house. They should not use knives or sharp objects. The doors of temples are closed.

After the solar eclipse is over, they clean the temples. They take a bath and wear clean clothes. They bathe the idols of God. They perform prayers and offer food. They give donations according to their capacity.
