Located on NH-209 in Coimbatore, the Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is a beautiful example of Dravidian architecture. The temple houses a massive idol of Lord Ganesha, approximately 6 feet tall and 3 feet in diameter, which is considered to be self-manifested. This idol is the focal point of deep devotion for the devotees.

The 16th-Century Connection
An interesting mythological story is associated with the temple's founding. It is said that in the 16th century, this idol was being transported from Madurai to the Perur Patteeswarar Temple near Coimbatore. When the bullock cart reached Eachanari village, its axle suddenly broke. Despite numerous attempts, the idol could not be moved further and became embedded in the ground. Considering this to be Lord Ganesha's will, a temple was built at that very spot.

All Obstacles Removed
Devotees believe that Lord Ganesha himself wished to reside here. Therefore, it is believed that visiting this temple removes all obstacles in life. A ​​grand celebration is held here, especially during Ganesh Chaturthi. On this day, a Ganapati Homam (fire ritual) is performed in the morning, in which a large number of devotees participate.
