Actors Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aneet Padda, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub will soon be seen together in a new series titled ‘Hunkar: The Roar’. The teaser for the series was released on Tuesday, offering a glimpse into the storyline.

What is the story about?
The series is based on the story of 17-year-old Meenu Rawat. An allegation made by Meenu against a famous and respected religious leader, Sunil Chakosi—known as ‘Bapji’—triggers a major investigation. The case gradually escalates, becoming a topic of nationwide discussion.

The teaser also offers glimpses of ACP Jasleen Singh Soni; a lawyer named Bhalerao, who persists in his fight despite facing numerous obstacles; and a tenacious journalist named Amitabh. The three are seen fighting on different fronts to uncover the same truth—one through a police investigation, another in court, and the third via the media.

According to the makers, ‘Hunkar: The Roar’ weaves together the narratives of a police investigation, a legal battle, and a media trial. It explores themes related to power, influence, and public perception.

The series is directed by Karan D. Kapadia, Nitya Mehra, and Heeraz Marfatia.
In addition to Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aneet Padda, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, the cast includes Raghubir Yadav and Ram Kapoor, among others.

‘Hunkar: The Roar’ is produced by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment in association with Purple Pebble Pictures.
