Speaking about this scheme, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta explained that it was created to remove hesitation among people who often refrain from helping due to fear of legal complications.

The first hour after an accident is considered the most crucial. Immediate medical attention during this time can save many lives. This scheme will allay these fears and encourage people to come forward. The program aims to ensure that victims receive immediate medical help without delay.

Who can benefit from this scheme?
Anyone who transports a seriously injured accident victim to a hospital or medical center within the golden hour, i.e., the first hour, can receive a reward of ₹25,000. Even if multiple people are helped in a single accident, a maximum of Rs 25,000 will be awarded per incident. In addition, the person who helped will receive a certificate of appreciation. Every year, 10 people from across the country will be given a national award, each amounting to Rs 1 lakh.
