Tikamgarh: 'Cut father's body into two pieces, one you burn and the other I will'... 2 sons fight for last rites..

A strange case came to light today from Lidhaura Tal village of Jatara police station in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. After the death of the father, two real brothers had a dispute over the last rites of the father. The dispute between the two brothers increased so much that one brother insisted that the body of the father be cut into two pieces so that he could perform the last rites of one part and his brother could perform the last rites of the other part.

This whole matter is of Lidhaura Tal village, where after the death of the father, a dispute arose between two real brothers over his last rites. The dispute between the two brothers increased so much that the elder son started insisting on cutting the father's body and burning it. When the matter did not work out even after the persuasion of the family and relatives gathered at the last rites, the police were informed. After this, the police reached the spot and convinced both the brothers for the last rites, only then the last rites of the father could be performed.

The elder son stopped the last rites.

85-year-old Dhyani Singh Ghosh, a resident of Lidhaura Tal, died on Monday morning. After his death, his son Damodar completed the preparations for his last rites. On receiving the information, the villagers as well as relatives reached his house and started preparing for the last rites, then Damodar's elder brother Kishan Singh Ghosh reached Damodar's house with his son and some other people and started insisting on performing the last rites of his father.

The elder son of the deceased was adamant about his insistence

On this, Damodar refused to let him perform the last rites. He said that his father lived with him and he served him. Therefore, he will perform the last rites of his father. There was a dispute between the two sons regarding this matter and the body of the father was also kept outside the house. The people of the village and relatives tried their best to convince both the brothers to perform the last rites of their father together, but the elder brother Kishan was not at all ready for this.

He said that the body of the father should be cut into two parts so that both the brothers can perform the last rites of their father separately. Ultimately, when the matter was not resolved, the police were informed and after the intervention of the police, the last rites of the deceased could be performed.
